Frequently Asked Questions
What is a lugger used for?
A lugger is a heavy-duty transport cart designed to move waste, debris, or materials across job sites — especially where loads are heavy and terrain may be rough.
How are luggers different from standard carts?
Luggers have reinforced frames, larger wheels, and ergonomically designed handles that make them suitable for heavier loads and more challenging terrain compared with standard utility carts.
What types of materials can be moved with a lugger?
Luggers are ideal for yard waste, brush, logs, mulch, construction debris, scrap materials, and various heavy loads encountered on landscaping, construction, or industrial sites.
What load capacities are available for luggers?
Luggers come in multiple load capacities — designed to match the typical weight and volume of materials you need to transport. Keystone Waste can help determine the right capacity for your needs.
Are luggers suitable for rough terrain?
Yes — luggers are often equipped with large pneumatic or solid wheels that make them easy to maneuver over dirt, grass, gravel, and other uneven surfaces.
Can luggers improve jobsite safety?
Yes — by reducing manual lifting and carrying, luggers help minimize strain and lower the risk of injuries related to heavy material movement.
How do I choose the right lugger for my job site?
Consider your material type, load weight, terrain conditions, and ergonomic needs. Keystone Waste can assist in selecting the right lugger model.
Can luggers be used in indoor as well as outdoor environments?
Yes — while most luggers are designed for outdoor or rough terrain use, select models can also be used indoors if flooring and space permit.
